Bossio Bests the Field at Inaugural Syracuse Tourney
'King Carlo' Bossio (R), battles Junior Gelinas (L), in the A playoff bracket semi-finals of the 2026 Syracuse Table Hockey Tournament. The first ever area event featured players from New York City, Chicago, Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Montreal, and the Syracuse league, and was filmed to be produced as a documentary by Z.D.G. Entertainment. Bossio and Pat Cote topped the groups with both advancing through the A playoffs to the final series. In the B bracket playoffs, Dan Lord bested Anthony Sciacca in two games. Brian Lalik topped the C bracket, sweeping Gavin Dressing in two as well.
In a classic A bracket final series, Cote took the first two games but Carlo came storming back, winning the next two to set up a deciding game five. Bossio held a 3-1 lead with less than two minutes remaining but Cote tallied the next two, tying the game with just 14 seconds left. Carlo launched into attack with Cote turning him back and clearing the puck with two seconds to go, but incredibly fortuitously, it ricocheted off the back boards behind Carlo's net straight to his center, and with the last shot of the tournament, with less than a second on the clock, Bossio slapped it into the net, seizing the championship! The Syracuse Table Hockey tournament will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Doors open at 10 a.m. and we will start dropping pucks at 10:45 a.m. All skill levels. Playoff groups for all. The format will be a Round Robin. Depending on placement, every player will advance to a playoff depending on the round robin results.
USA Entry fee: The Coleco S Slot fee is $30. You can pay via PayPal, Venmo or Apple Pay if you’d like. Please email for details. All prices in US dollars. Registration starts on June 15, 2026. Registration ends on August 15, 2026. There will not be registration on the day of the event. (There is a $10 discount if you bring a game to the event)
Canadian Entry fee: The Coleco S Slot fee is $41. You can pay Carlo Bossio in cash or E Transfer. All prices in Canadian dollars. Registration starts on June 15, 2026. Registration ends on August 15, 2026. There will not be registration on the day of the event. (There is a $10 discount if you bring a game to the event)
T-Shirt Size: Every player that registers by July 15th for Saturday’s event will receive a Large T-Shirt. If you would like a different size shirt please let us know when you pay your fee. In the case you would like to order an extra shirt, it will be $15 US or $20 CAN.
Format: If we have 20 or less players, everyone will be in the same round robin. In the case there are more than 20 players, we will break the round robins in evenly divided groups. At the conclusion of round robin play, players will be placed in 8 player playoff brackets. Please note, some brackets may have more than 8 players to allow everyone to participate in a playoff bracket.
Location: The tournament will be held at the American Legion, 8529 Smokey Hollow Road, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
